Caring for one another...
"I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciple, if you have love for one another." John 13:34-35
"Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ…So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest-time, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith." St. Paul, Galatians 6:2,9-10
Fellowship & Congregational Care
A time of fellowship is offered each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. following early morning praise and worship and following the 11:00 a.m. worship service. All those attending worship are welcome to greet each other and get to know one another over a cup of coffee or juice during either of these two fellowship times.
The congregational family is invited each year to join in fellowship at the Fall Family Party, Christmas dinner, as well as other holiday events as planned by the fellowship committee.
Volunteers from the congregation serve as “prayer warriors” on behalf of individuals and families inside and outside our church. A prayer group meets each Monday at 12:00 noon in the church sanctuary. Also, volunteers serve on the telephone or e-mail prayer chain. To request prayer, please submit your prayer request to Pastor Buddy or by e-mail to our prayer chain coordinator, Debbie Christy, email@example.com.
Each year during the Christmas season, we visit the homebound and local nursing home residents to bring them the good news of Jesus’ birth in song. A good singing voice is not required—just a love for Jesus and others and a desire to share the joy of the season with those who need it most.
